Sundown and Sorrow ~ Hank Williams, Sr. (1960)
Written by #JLFrank and #PeeWeeKing, this was released by the legendary Cowboy Copas in 1946 on King Records. This version by Hank is taken from the 1960 #MGMRecords release, “The Lonesome Sound of Hank Williams.” This was the very first album of “new” Hank songs released; all albums before had been previously released material. “Roly Poly” had been issued on 78, but other than that, all selections were brand new. I also believe each selection was from his daily show on KWKH. This is another selection that apparently doesn't exist in its undubbed version anymore.
As always, this has been meticulously restored from the original record; you might hear occasional noise, but this sounds almost as good as it would have on the day you brought it home from the store!
