On May 4, 2013 Sophia lost her father Staff Sgt. Francis Gene Phillips IV. Frankie was serving our country on his fourth deployment when his unit was taken by a road side bomb. Frankie is a local man of Meridian. We are preparing a benefit to bring the community together to help his four year old daughter fulfill the dreams he left behind for her.
